Cmon man. That was not the point. The point is that it wasn’t very good. You brought up authentic and I segued to not authentic. I had high hopes for tasty food. It wasn’t really.

Just watched a repeat (Nov 2016) of "beat bobby flay" on Food network. St. Louis Mike Johnson of Sugarfire etc etc etc etc etc etc was the challenger.

Jambalaya was the dish. (Johnsons choice)

He overcooked the damn rice. He acted like it was a signature dish of his. Been to several of the etc etcs, including Boogaloos and i do like Sugarfire, but don't recall a jambalaya thing going on. Good effort nonetheless. Glad he lost though, Mrs Freed met him at an etc and thought he was a jerk,

Anyways, these Food shows are funny to watch when you have familarity. The magic is gone. Some place in Webster off Old Orchard which I can't recall it's name was on one those shows. Looks so different when Guy is fist bumping the owner over some dish that I wouldn't drive 5 miles for.

Been to the Shaved Duck which had a feature, I wasn't disappointed. Food truck that got a segment was good too.

They have jambalaya at Boogaloo but it's nothing special.

I'm still looking for a good cajun place in the city. Best I've found anywhere close is a little place down in Festus.

Yes, very good. I need to get back there. I'm a bit jealous of some friends who work right behind there on our production campus and can walk there for lunch.
