I've been on the fence about it, but the Indiana house just approved a bill to help fund a new soccer stadium here, which moves on to the Senate. Currently our team plays at a college and is at some lower level, and I think the hope is to possibly become an MLS team..

I really like the design, but the loan is $82 million (Colts stadium was $616). It will in theory be paid back by taxes from events there and also taxes on the owner's hotel in Indy. A last minute change has him assuming half the risk on the debt if they can't pay it back.

Indy's been positioning itself specifically as a sports/tournament destination the past 20-30 years, which is another argument in it's favor.

MLS season's supposed to start Friday. No new CBA yet. One owner said they'll never give up on free agency (he was fined for this). I'm not holding my breath for actually make it to the park Saturday.

Both. He's a bit of a huckster/gimmick dude but he's innovative and challenges the dumb status quo.

They have allegedly moved past that. It was their initial offer.

It's still laughable. Some dude on twitter researched that 31 players in league history would have ever qualified and the only current active player would be Brad Davis.
So essentially, free agency would only have applied to someone past his prime who's family is entrenched in the community.

Nice showing from the fans in Orlando today. Not a huge surprise, but they did a great job and it looks like they'll be a fine asset for the league.
