My covid test came back positive. Still waiting on my wife's result but it's pretty much a forgone conclusion
I hope you and your wife are going to be ok.

Moderna announced 95% effectiveness in its vaccine. It's almost a mirror image to Pfizers announcement and vaccine. This one does not need to be stored at -80 degrees though, so that's good.

sort of; you can unfreeze from those cold temps, and store it in a fridge, but only up to 30 days (both mRNA)
Both vaccines also use a new so-called messenger RNA (mRNA) platform. So while Pfizer announced its positive early findings on efficacy last Monday, experts were hopeful for additional effective vaccines given the similar gene technology. However, Moderna's vaccine may be more "user friendly" because it can be stored in a refrigerator for 30 days, whereas Pfizer's vaccine requires much colder temperatures for storage.

Studies suggest mask mandates are effective , and mandates promote increased usage
Mask mandates lead to more people wearing masks
Even if they aren’t always followed, mask mandates appear to be an effective tool in encouraging behavior change. The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington found in August that mask use increased 8 percentage points after mask mandates, and increased 15 points if those mandates were enforced.

Only around 65 percent of Americans currently regularly wear masks, according to IHME. But in Singapore, for instance, around 95 percent of people wear masks, and they have one of the world’s lowest coronavirus death rates. “We know that countries that wear masks are doing much better,” says Ali Mokdad, the chief strategy officer of public health at the University of Washington.

Mask wearing for personal responsibilty doesn't work in MO.

Agreed. Didn't read the article, but businesses it seems by and large want their patrons to wear masks. Laws/ordinances/etc allow them to require it instead of just suggesting it (with varying degrees of agressiveness/effectiveness).
