Re: Coronavirus
Dr. Fauci says US needs a national response to COVID-19 crisis, instead of ‘disjointed’ state-by-state approach
At this point in pandemic, where it's spreading almost everywhere, and vaccines on the horizon -a baseline coordinated federal approach makes sense.
Obviously Orange man and Pence are not capable - but no reason for them to not abdicate duties responsibility at this point, and let them go do whatever weird [expletive] those [expletive] want to do in retirement. . because they really don't have a reason to control some phony narrative at this point.
It would be good practice for mass vaccination program (oh [expletive], are there going to be proponents of have privatized vaccination programs?!?)
MO doesn't even have a state level response. Locality and business by business doesn't work. In Missouri, the widely different approaches/priorities etc make it difficult to navigate.

Re: Coronavirus
It's going to be awful hard to flatten the curve when people still have the perspective of the unidentified woman:
List of COVID-19 restrictions coming to St. Louis County
No indoor dining or big gatherings. These are among the restrictions St. Louis County Executive Dr. Sam Page announced Friday morning.
Page's announcement on new restrictions comes after COVID-19 cases continue to rise at an alarming rate in the St. Louis area. The county has added an average of 677 new cases every day this week, the highest weekly average since the beginning of the pandemic. The county's seven-day positivity rate reached 16% on Friday, the highest since late April.
Residents across St. Louis City and County have different opinions on new restrictions. They all want to the pandemic to end, but not all agree on how.
"People are going to do what they're going to do," Beth Bottchen said restrictions would only work if everyone abides. "If people would just wear masks it would be a lot better."
Some believe restrictions are needed while others believe public health orders are an inconvenience.
"That's all you report, I am sick of it, I am sick of it," a woman who didn't want to be identified said. "I am going to do what I've always done. Everything. I will go visit people, I'll have people over. I am doing the same for Christmas. I am not stopping anything. They're not going to control my life. I didn't vote for these idiots."

Re: Coronavirus
I really don't know what you can do with people. We have a 3 1/2 person office. The 1/2 is an old timer on his way out, but does work about 10 hours a week. One night, he called the managing partner. He was at the Moose. He and some friends told the partner that he needs to go out and live his life, blah blah blah. 2 weeks later he was in a hospital in Fargo with Covid, three hours away. He was in the hospital over two weeks, and just returned home and is using oxygen.
The other partner (not the managing partner) was the one coming to work even though he didn't feel good. He turned out getting it too. He worked a half-day on a Friday and finally got tested on Monday. He is back, though he is coughing and still says he doesn't feel right. I'm sure I'll get it because this guy has some letter from the state saying he needs to quarantine for ten days and his ten days is up. I guess it doesn't matter that he is still sick.
I always said it wasn't bad here, now it is and we had fair warning. I guess it's on me for thinking people weren't dumbasses.
