Yadier since he returned from injury:

Sweet. When he came back from injury, it looked like he would resume hitting for average. Since July 2 he has six hits. And his numbers are quickly falling to their '06 levels. His slugging is now a measley .322.

Molina has a better on-contact batting average than league average. It's 70 points higher than his career rate. He is getting lucky to some extent, that much really isn't arguable. It's also not arguable that at least every ten games or so, especially if you don't strike out or homer much, that one of your hits (or outs) will be a hit or an out due to complete variance. All of that makes sense, right?

Now, less sabermetrically and more practically, take away just four measly hits and he's got a line of: .254/.319/.320.

How obvious is it that you've been waiting, possibly even hoping, that Yadi would eventually cool off from his .290 days so you could once again chime in about how you've always been right about his poor hitting.

You'll not see one post with my name on it bragging about Yadi when he was hitting .300, not to mention the talk of him probably being an all star if he hadn't gotten hurt, although I've argued for two seasons in a row that he's our everyday catcher and that he's a better hitter than what the .216 in '06 would indicate.

So why are you so quick to criticize his hitting, the moment it hits .260, unless you have some vested interest in seeing him fail? Are you that concerned about looking bad on an internet forum that you'd actually take solace in seeing a Cardinal perform as you predicted (poorly)?

Snayke got an unprecedented amount of flack and attacks for a stance that was legitimate and logical. A lot of people may not have liked how he went about it, but he was right and with all the arrows slung his way, he deserves to be able to bump this as vindication.
