I'm not expressing a new sentiment here, but after watching Late Edition yesterday... I really really really hate the way these (ahem) journalists waste so much time covering and debating and scrutinizing and discussing and analyzing to death the minutiae of comments made by the Phil Gramm's and Jesse Jackson's (and all the others that preceded them). Such a waste of useful oxygen.

The cover of the New Yorker is going to make some waves.

For those who haven't seen it, it's Barack dressed as a Muslim jabbing fists with Michelle, who is dressed as a soldier. The American flag is burning and there's a picture of Osama bin Laden above the fireplace.

I read it as satire.
