Pardons should be in order.
I just read through the "long lost posters" thread that got locked - bums me out. I miss all of you guys and am sad that things have gotten so tense.

Re: All Good Things Must Come to an End (Aug 12th)
I have to add my appreciation for this place. I don't remember when I first came across GRB, but I remember being bummed when I couldn't register. Followed along through the 2011 postseason run and the Pujols affair and when registering opened up I was ecstatic. Mainly posted in the gameday threads which helped a lot with blowing off some steam and making the great moments even more enjoyable. I haven't watched as many games this season but I still find myself coming here to read through the gameday thread later rather than checking the box score.
I don't have the knowledge of the game like a lot of posters which has kept me in the background, but I'll most definitely miss the discussions and checking in every day to see what's new. Especially around the hot stove season. I don't do the twitter thing so I'll miss all the updates. Lol
And to echo some others, I've read a lot of contrasting views in some of the more hotly debated social threads that I like to think has opened my eyes to viewpoints I wouldn't usually be exposed to. There's some benefit in that.
Thanks to Michael and all the mods for keeping this place pumping. I was certainly thrown for a loop and saddened when I saw the "All good things..." thread that made some of the strange posts I'd been seeing make sense. Hopefully we can find a way to keep this place going. Without it I'll have to revert back to my days of thinking a pitcher's W-L record and a hitter's HR and RBI totals are all that really matters.

Wow, popped over to see what folks thought of the Zack Duke acquisition and saw this. Hate to see the site go and will check out the reddit. Thanks and appreciation to Michael, the mods, and a long line of quality posters.

I want to offer my gratitude and apologies.
I learned a lot here. The most valuable thing is greater objectivity-or, at worst, the need for it.
