Well that Napoli is one tough son of a [expletive]. I like players like that.

He was 2 for 3 with 3 walks last night despite suffering a hideous looking twisted ankle roughly halfway through the game. Napoli is the Rangers' version of Berkman: Nobody can understand how they got 'em so easily, and there's no doubt either team wouldn't be remotely as good without 'em.jim wrote:Well that Napoli is one tough son of a [expletive]. Yeah. I have a ton of respect for that whole team. Andrus and Kinsler are fun to watch, Feliz is dirty, Ogando's got a big arm, everyone can mash... If they were playing against any other team besides the Cardinals, I'd be pulling for them tonight.jim wrote:Well that Napoli is one tough son of a [expletive]. I like players like that.

I was just reflecting on how impressed I have been with the entire Rangers team. Deep starting rotation, lots of bullpen firepower, speed, defense and power throughout the lineup. They are a tough, resilient bunch too.heyzeus wrote:He was 2 for 3 with 3 walks last night despite suffering a hideous looking twisted ankle roughly halfway through the game. I'm not sure which team is Ali or Frazier, but whichever one wins this epic battle they'll walk away knowing they earned it.

Anyone else have the feeling that anything is possible tonight?
The last 60 days have just been crazy.
The September run
Game 2 in NLDS with Rusty Carp getting knocked out early but the Cards finding a way to win.
Ben Fransisco
Rally Squirrel
Carp V. Halladay
outslugging the brewers
Albert leading the way to 16...
only to be shutout the next night
The bullpen shenanigans
then...Game 6
It feels a little like there is 10 years worth of memories all condensed down into a 2 month window.
You can dramatize 3 Nights in August or Moneyballing your way to division titles but you can't top what we've witnessed over these last two incredible months.
We have truly been blessed.

I have plans tonight.
I'll be able to catch the latter part of the game, though.

About the only thing that bothers me is every single guy is swinging out of his shoes at all times. I guess it works for them especially in that park. Beltre is also fun to watch defensively.JL21 wrote: Yeah. I have a ton of respect for that whole team. Exactly three weeks ago Carpenter was starting an elimination game against Roy Halladay and that turned out pretty well. I'm recycling this post for good luck.

[expletive], I just saw that it's after 6 o'clock. Nerves. And I just drank a cup of coffee.

For the love of my health, can we just put up ten in the first and coast?
