a while back my sis tells me I should go see her nephew's band at Off Broadway. Can't make it but wonder why she doesn't give me the name so I ask. Diarrhea Planet (out of Nashville, go birds). That's the band name.
Last night she texts me to tell me that they are on Rolling Stone's list of 20 bands to check out at SXSW so I look into it. True. Also MTVs list. And Paste's list.
Guess they are a hot act.

Remember when you were a kid and you had to mow lawns for a week or two to go buy an album that may or may not be real expletivey just for the liberty of not having to wait by the radio for hours to maybe hear a really cool song you want to hear? Kids today have it so good (have you seen their cartoons? Jebus they're good.) If they want to learn it on guitar, that's no problem either. Pre-internet was walking 5 miles to school both ways, music-wise.
