I’m happy for Tatum’s classmate Tkachuk, but I think we all can agree there’s been far too many Florida-based Stanley Cup champions lately.

Last 30 years.

Florida (2 teams): 4 cups
California (3 teams): 3 cups
N. Carolina (1 team): 1 cup
Nevada (1 team): 1 cup
Texas (1 team): 1 cup

Total: 8 teams, 10 cups

All of Canada (6 or 7 teams, depending on the year): 0 cups
Minnesota (1 team, most of the time): 0 cups

I was definitely happy for Tarasenko and Mikkola. But yeah, FL can stop winning cups now. Wouldn't mind seeing Berube bring one to Toronto next year!!
