The team has already run two coaches off, and it looks like they're trying for three.

As Popeye has said, this looks like a lost season. I expect the team to be busy at the trade deadline.
Monty has a really long runway. He is the guy they wanted all along.

When you go through 3 coaches, two of them considered upper echelon, it's not the coaches, it's YOU.

I expect a HUGE roster shakeup come January. Schenn is almost certainly gone (although I don't think this is his fault, but he only has a partial NTC). Faulk could go, too. If they could get Kyrou to waive his full NTC, he'd definitely be gone, but IDK if he'd do that.

Last night was a nice win. Lots of scoring chances. 4 goals. Buchy scored.

The TDL will be interesting. I’m not completely sure it’s a given we sell hard. We probably should, but I can see them thinking that the kids need to continue to grow in sheltered minutes. If you trade Schenn and Faulk, you are putting a LOT on Dvo and Mailloux. I think Dvo is showing a lot of good signs, but I don’t think we are ready for him to anchor the third line with only the Bug Man as insurance. Maybe by the end of the year, but he still has work to do, and we need to take a long road path with him IMO.

Mailloux has looked/sounded fine since he’s returned (I’ve mostly listened to games fwiw), but I certainly don’t want him sniffing the top4 for awhile. I have hopes he can get there, but maybe you’re entertaining something like this next year. If we sell Faulk, we need someone who can, if you squint, be passable on the right side. Even if just someone just really strong defensively.

If we do sell, I think, for the above reasons, we need to take back a vet/warm body (which we would probably need to anyways for salary cap reasons) at whatever position we lose. So if we sell Schenner, we need to take back a 3C or a bottom 6 winger if you think you can run with Buggy and Suter in the middle six as you plug in DVO. That AND I’d want premium assets. Unprotected firsts-type of returns. Might as well ask high since you can always hold and sell next year.

As heartbreaking as all of those OT losses have been, the pity points have helped. Despite being effectively 8-17 (8-10-7), the Blues are only 4 points out of a playoff spot. Maybe they do right this ship soon and can still salvage the season.

I'm impressed that we shut out Utah. But we still gotta figure out how to score more than 2 with some regularity.

Seems to be a pretty crappy time if you’re a STL sports fan.
