This makes sense. Donovan is the prototypical Boston Southie. They'll love him.

We really are gonna trade our entire team to Boston. Weird.

He can never post again, with such a nice round number.

(unless it's to post details of some wonderful lopsided trade)

I wonder what the Cardinals are asking for Donovan. MLB FTV seems to line up Donovan with Kade Anderson really well. I'm sure the Mariners don't want to trade Anderson, but boy, that's what I would be digging my heels in for. Doyle and Anderson for 6 years...boy that would be fun.

The Cardinals better ask for the moon. Donovan is the biggest trade target available. There is no urgency to move him. They should be extending him.

I’m hopeful to get a good return for Donovan but on good teams he’s like the 4th best position player.

He is legitimately versatile though. Which boosts his value. Plug and play in IF and corner OF. They should get a fantastic return.

Yeah, he’s one of those guys like a Ben Zobrist that are extremely valuable for a contending team, while not being a star caliber player.
But if we trade him, woof that is a really, really terrible lineup.
