2009 swine flu stats .
Silence .
No run on toilet paper .
Don’t remember everything coming to a screeching halt .
Politics ( make your own call ) .
Exactly, whats different about this than SARS, MERS, H1N1?

Those weren't created by Obama to make Trump look bad. That's the primary difference.

The season is too long. I wonder if this could be the bridge to a shorter season for good?

MLB has been pretty aggressively changing and floating things lately.

There were 8000 cases of SARS, 2500 cases of MERS. There have been ~120000 cases of coronavirus already.

There were more cases of H1N1, but the mortality rate was less than that of the seasonal flu, which is around 0.1%. We don't know what the mortality rate of covid-19 is yet, but it is looking like it will be significantly higher.

It's the right call, and I'm very sad.

Timbers, Blazers, Cardinals... all shut down.

I guess I can see what my wiener kids are up to.

Except for the very important Cards v. Marlins game that they apparently had to play.

I'm not too sad though. I'm soaking in a little bit of meaningless baseball today. It's the last we'll see for some time.
