That’s sounds horrible but I am somewhat drawn to anything with bacon on a pretzel bun.CardsofSTL wrote: ↑July 18 25, 2:00 pm4 Hands Brewing Company and Hi-Pointe Drive-In… The special is a double cheddar burger with candied bacon and peanut butter banana spread on a toasted pretzel bun.

the funny thing is that it is obv sold out and will be packed; more packed than any cardinals game has been in a long time (not tickets sold, actual butts in the seats)
I guess BDW still gets his cut

If you go to about -41:59 on the youtube link posted on page 2 of this thread you can see them announce Wainwright into the game.

Lynn and Isringhausen pitched in the Saturday game. Bananas sweep!

The Cardinals' official social media folks keep promoting the Bananas games. I'm not sure they are self-aware at how awful this makes the desertion of the MLB team look by comparison.

Ok. I sat through the video that was shared of the game. 2 questions:
1. Why is there so much dancing? I feel like I just watched a dance party where they just happened to squeeze in a baseball game somehow.
2. Other than entertainment, what is the point of the trick plays? It doesn't seem to get you anything extra, but you can sure screw things up for your team if you mess up.

The dancing and trick plays are for entertainment; that is it. It is to play to the crowd and make it a more interactive experience. Yeah it's not the major leagues.mikechamp wrote: ↑July 21 25, 11:52 pmOk. I sat through the video that was shared of the game. 2 questions:

I think they also earn some kind of points for making trick plays but I don't know how all that works; I just heard them say something about it.
