Why would you not have Ryan and/or Winn bunt in that situation with 1st and 2nd and no outs and 1 out respectively?

Do we think every steal is TLR's decision?

I did not see the game, listened up to the 6th and picked it up again in the 9th. So I completely missed this situation, but looking through the game logs I am a little surprised that we didn't but with Winn. Down 2 I can understand not bunting with Ryan, but I'm a little surprised that we didn't bunt to get the tying run to 3rd.

Only explanation is that the way the wind was blowing he really wanted to go for a big inning. But we will lay a damn bunt down in the 2nd inning to push a run across but not there.

I was also curious about the not bunting, but figured that perhaps it was Yadi as the lead runner being a factor in TLR's decision.

With 1+2 if the 3B fields the bunt then Yadi's grandma could be running the bases and she'd get there. I hate to comment on something that I didn't see but it sure seems like that situation called for a sacrifice.

Completely agree; I was trying to come up with what was in TLR's head.

Kind of late to make this complaint, but what's the purpose of Jason Larue being on the roster if he can't play an 11am game after a night game. I know he played a little last night, but come on.

I've been wondering what he has been doing on the roster for a while now. He's not very good defensively, it would be one thing if we had a Mike Matheny type glove back there but we don't.

Meanwhile, Bryan Anderson keeps doing what he does at AAA.
