I saw him in the Austin airport a few weeks ago. So beardy!

The new album seems a bit more soul/70s to me. The song "Baby Center Stage" is just gorgeous. Every Iron and Wine album has at least one song on it that absolutely kills me, and this one is it.

Usually when artists start mixing it up these days it means bleeps and bloops, drum machines and laptops (like
Sufjan's last album that I didn't care for at all). I know there's been a little digital ambiance in later I&W stuff, but I'm really grateful he chose to take it the directions he has rather than 00110010110001010110. Give me horns over Pentiums.

Loufest question:

So it's looking like i may not be able to go which means i'm gonna be selling my tickets.

They sent me the link to print off my passes which i thought was kind of odd because I've gotten a bracelet at every other music festival ive been to but whatever.

Anyway, if i sell these, can I just send the person the link and the code and they can print off the tickets? Like they won't check their id at the gate will they? It's more than likely gonna be one of my friends in st. louis.

I met Bob a few times.

Apparently Norah Jones is the special guest mentioned

Jones is joining her tour mate Cory Chisel, who is among the headliners Wednesday night. The various acts at the festival will perform in different configurations with each other.

Here's the rundown of the Open Highway Music Festival:

-- 8:30 p.m. Wednesday

The Wild Rovers tour featuring Cory Chisel, the Candles, Adriel Denae, Space Woman and special guests, $15-$18
Off Broadway tonight
