I was serving as Freese had 2 on and 2 strikes. A nice German family who could tell I was watching all the TVs (after the NY Rangers game ended, I finally got to watch some baseball). Anyway, he hit that triple as the father was ordering. I cut him of?f, threw my order book, ran around the table high fiving everyone I could, and they just loved it.

I got off work and sprinted 4 blocks across Broadway, into the Cards bar next to the Empire State Buildinga. And saw the homer about 2/3s into my first beer. Bar exploded. It was amazing. Best feeling since, well, Freeses hit. And before that, Carps NLCS game, which almost seems dull now, eh?

I'm on till 2am and offered 50 bucks for a shift change. Someone will take it, I think.

Still here at work (on break finally) and quite happy about tonight's turn of events. We have a bunch of Ranger fans here at the casino; they were classy enough to congratulate me after we won the game.

Very nice, to say the least. Gotta be, despite all the miscues, one of the greatest games in MLB history.
