I think it's pretty clear at this point that the team's problem was Robby Fabbri and his demise has unleashed the true potential of this team. On a serious note, it is really nice to see Jake Allen play well tonight.

Side note: Does anyone else watch via the FSGO app and see the same two commercials (Don Brown Chevrolet/David Freese Imo's) every single commercial break? I think I can recite both at this point.

Who would've thought putting Stastny and Tarasenko on the same line would pay off? Oh wait, everyone thought that... except for Hitch.

Word was that Paul Stastny and Vladimir Tarasenko, despite some significant production between the two at the start of the 2015-16 season, didn’t mesh well.

True?

“I don’t know, he’s only played with Jori,” Stastny said.

The Blues just went 5-0 on a road trip where they outscored the opposition 16-3. Setting us all up for the kick to the nuts again.

I don't expect much of a playoff run, so I won't be nearly as disappointed if they have an early exit in the playoffs. Hell, I'm not convinced they are going to continue to play at the level they're at right now. Granted, they do look like a different team w/ Yeo behind the bench.

I know the current level of play isn't sustainable. At the same time, you couldn't have a more dominant road trip if you tried. We're out of wild card territory now.

All that said, if someone offers a 1st and a young roster player or good prospect for Shattenkirk, I'm still doing it.

With not having any hope for a real run at the SC... yeah, if the package is right then you send Shattenkirk packing. I'm loving the way they are playing right now but I still feel like every game I should be wearing a cup for that inevitable nut shot mentioned above. I'm ashamed to admit it but I just don't believe this team gets out of the first round. I wouldn't be shocked if they ran into a rough stretch and missed the playoffs completely. The struggles this season shook my confidence that bad.
