Yes sir!jim wrote:Emotions from last night ... where do I start? I fought back sadness so strong that the season was coming to an end that almost brought tears to my eyes. I was exhilarated, relieved that we had a second life only to be punched in the gut again and thrown in the abyss only to be pulled out again and then felt a euphoria that I have never felt as a fan. I shared a moment with my son that I will never forget ... I had to forcefully hug him not once but twice during the night as he jumped up and down on one leg having just had three pins taken out of his hip on Tuesday. He simply couldn't contain himself.
I will never ever forget this game or this night.
My thoughts exactly!
Amazing.
Let's go Birds!

Just watched the recap from last night again and just now realized that Westbrook won the game. Who woulda thunk?

That blonde chick had some guts, going out after that ball. I kind of wish she had gotten it. And the best part of that was, the guy curled up waiting to get pummeled, and the fans that didn't get to the ball just threw up their hands in celebration, instead of scrumming for the ball. hilarious.

Okay, so I'm not going through 265 pages. Did I miss anything???
Seriously, what a fun ride. Last night summed up the entire season. Frustration with defense early. Bullpen meltdown. And then the wild ride that has been the last two months over the last couple of innings. Wow. It's going to be interesting to see where this ranks up there in Cards playoff history, but man was that fun. I guess part of it for me is that I'm not getting too down when they trail, so I wasn't that way last night even when they were a strike away from it being over. Of course, part of that was knowing they could still come back, just like they've done all year.
I'm not sure how the series will turn out, but we certainly have two extraordinarily memorable games that we'll cherish...Pujols' 3-RH barrage and, now completely overshadowing that, is last night's game with the hometown boy being the hero. I'm not sure I could be any happier for anyone else on that team than Freese in this position right now.
Regardless of tonight, thank you to the 2011 Cardinals. I haven't enjoyed baseball like this since I was a kid.

I had a moment like that with my daughter. She had to work and got home in time to watch the bottom of the ninth and what we thought would be the end of a great run. And I had text sessions going with all 3 of my sisters. What a moment in time none of us will ever forget.jim wrote:Emotions from last night ... where do I start? I teared up a few times thinking of this first Cardinals World Series trip since we lost Dad. He didn't text, but we surely would've been on the phone during those last few innings.
To update my sig line, it's been a heck of a series, Dad. Wish you were here.

Amazing!!! Love the one from st.lewis. The Dan Patrick show played Jack's call from 91 next to Joe's from last night. So fitting.
