My personal train said studies have shown light amount of weed can help with cardio exercise because it can help with stamina. It's likely due to dulling the negative tiredness feelings. For exercise like strength training it's a huge no-go.

I eat a 10mg gummy right after work, and a puff from my vape here and there throughout the evening. Has worked wonders for my stress levels and sleep.

When your Father’s Day present is a vape pen, you’ve taught your child well.

What do you stoners know about Delta 8? It's apparently legal (for now?) in Texas. Sounds like it's one of the synthetic cannabinoids, and it's quite expensive (like $10 per gummy).

Delta 9. Delta 8 is the controlled substance compound within Cannabis. Delta 9, like CBD, is naturally occurring but not regulated. Proponents say it has the same psychotropic effects of Delta 8. I think it's BS and will stick to the good old fashioned controlled substance in it's natural form.

It's definitely Delta 8 products that, for some reason, are available in head shops here in Texas. My friend bought a bunch recently and was telling us about it. There's some company called "Maryjae" making/selling 'em.

I might have it reversed. As you can tell, I am dismissing it out of hand.
Basically there are dozens of chemicals within cannabis called cannabidiols. Two major classifications - THC and CBD. Within each, there are unique compounds. Whichever one it is (delta 8 or 9), one is regulated and one is not. The proponents of the new extract being sold in states where weed is still criminalized, say it has the exact same effects as the controlled/illegal compound. I am skeptical, without trying it, because it sounds too good to be true and I have access to the real thing, so it doesn't matter to me anyway. I just don't see ATF/the govt letting an equally effective compound slide for this long, not to mention letting companies sell it in states where weed is still illegal.

My understanding is that, not unlike the synthetic opiods, every time the government outlaws one, the chemists in China just tweak the formula. Boom, now there is a brand new, legal, non-FDA approved "supplement" available in states stupid enough (like mine!) to keep criminalizing the naturally-growing plant version of weed that doesn't hurt anyone (except your lungs if you smoke too much).
From what I've heard, Delta 8 is now the state of the art legal version of the synthetic cannabinoids. The Texas legislature didn't outlaw it in its recently concluded session, so seems likely it stays legal for another two years. This weirdo chemical stuff is only necessary because natural, real THC edibles are illegal and not available in a huge state. Will they hurt someone? Maybe!
