I'm a Chicagoan and I think LeBron has achieved GOAT status.

I still don't think I'd put Kevin Love or JR Smith or Kyle Korver into the mix with him when combining teams.

Assuming full health for next year, you could combine any of the best players from PHI, BOS, MIL, SAS, HOU and reasonably expect to beat the Dubs.
7 PHI: Ben, Embiid, Saric, Covington, Ilyasova, Redick, McConnell
8 BOS: Kyrie, Hayward, Horford, Rozier, Tatum, Smart, Morris, Jaylen
6 MIL: Giannis, Bledsoe, Brogdon, Jabari, Middleton, Henson
7 SAS: Kawhi, LMA, Gay, Dejounte, SloMo, Danny Green, Bertans
7 HOU: Harden, Paul, Capela, Ariza, Gordon, PJ Tucker, Mbah a Moute
Add any of them together and you have a championship level team that can take down GSW.

I missed the game last night, but looking at the box score for the entire Cavs team it's comical how thoroughly Lebron carried them to that win. He has basically zero chance at a ring (and probably will have his finals streak ended), but he's still clearly adding to his legacy in my eyes.

We could have said the same in Game 4, just the opposite way around as far as their play turning on a dime. They had one of those Dubs 3rd Qs where they won the quarter like 34-17 IIRC and it was like "yup, Steph in God Mode, same old Dubs" then they laid a turd in the 4th, scored only 12 in the frame, and took a hard L. They've been very Jekyll/Hyde all season, and usually when they're not themselves they're turning the ball over and making dumb mistakes, and that lack of discipline was never a problem for them in the past.

Turnovers and sloppy play has always been their Achilles heel though? Is just that they've usually been good enough to overcome smaller bouts of it. Credit to the Rockets defense for flustering them into leaning harder into iso/hero ball.

Yeah, I tend to agree with you here. There are all sorts of combinations that would be good enough. It's a fun game to play. Heck, after tomorrow night, the question might be "Which 2 teams would you combine to beat the Rockets?". We'll see.
