MS just announced for the holiday's they're slashing the price of the XB1 by 50 dollars, including bundles. That means you can get an XB1 with at least one game for 350. The Assassin’s Creed Bundle comes with two games. Very nice.
Available on Nov. 2 in the U.S., the Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Bundle for $349 ERP features Assassin’s Creed: Unity as well as Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag on Xbox One.
Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Bundle with Kinect for $449 ERP features Assassin’s Creed: Unity as well as Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag on Xbox One. The Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Bundle with Kinect also includes Dance Central Spotlight.
The Xbox One Special Edition Sunset Overdrive Bundle, available in limited quantities now, features a sleek white console and wireless controller, a digital copy of Sunset Overdrive, and special Day One edition in-game items – available for $349 ERP.
The Xbox One Limited Edition Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Bundle for $449 ERP available starting Nov. 3, features a 1TB hard drive, custom console, custom controller and Limited Edition exoskeleton, plus a digital copy of the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Day Zero Edition.

INTERNET ARCADE!

https://archive.org/details/internetarcade
The games are not perfect, with audio hiccups and, in some cases, programs that just plain hiss very loudly while you try to play. The controls aren't always the best either. Playing "Marble Madness" with arrow keys is a little tricky (but that shouldn't stop you from trying anyway). Some of the games are also super slow in full-screen mode in some browsers.
"Of the roughly 900 arcade games (yes, nine hundred arcade games) up there, some are in pretty weird shape -– vector games are an issue, scaling is broken for some, and some have control mechanisms that are just not going to translate to a keyboard or even a joypad," Scott wrote. "But damn if so many are good enough. More than good enough. In the right browser, on a speedy machine, it almost feels perfect."
He also posted some solutions to common problems here, and recommends the latest version of Firefox for maximum performance.
If you're ready to play, load up a game and hit the "5" key to add coins. Pressing "1" or "2" will start either one- or two-player versions of the game.

Re: The Video Game Thread
i think gta v is finally on the new console for those who have waited. looks like they included a 1st person view too, at least for storymode. im not one for buying the same game twice, usually, but this makes me intrigued. still want the xb1 to come down in price though.

I'm maybe two or three missions from the end of part 3, having done all the side missions, all the activities, everything, to wring every drop of joy from what is possibly my favourite ever game series.Jocephus wrote:i just finished Saints row 3 a few days ago and now am starting saints row 4. these are hilarious.
I completed part 2 and then bought myself a "Third Street Saints" t-shirt (the one you can see inside Planet Saints in SR3), although I had to get one custom made because everywhere had sold out. I waited til the t-shirt arrived before I started SR3 again (I'd already completed it when it first came out).
Now I'm thinking of buying one of the next-gen consoles to play the "Re-Elected" version of SR4 (already completed that, too). My two friends who own PS4s, whenever I ask them about the console, just say "well, you can't really use it to stream videos any more" and are quite negative about them, when I want to give them a slap and tell them to buy a £40 Raspberry Pi if they want to just stream video.

Re: The Video Game Thread
isn't there another stand alone dlc/game coming uot this month, "gat out of hell" or something? im fairly new to the SR franchise, only played 3 and now 4 but they are certainly entertaining. regarding open world-sandbox games, im definitely a GTA homer but there is definitely something unique about SR and the humor is terrific. plus, i love the cultural references, particularly to the wrestling world.Famous Mortimer wrote:I'm maybe two or three missions from the end of part 3, having done all the side missions, all the activities, everything, to wring every drop of joy from what is possibly my favourite ever game series.Jocephus wrote:i just finished Saints row 3 a few days ago and now am starting saints row 4. these are hilarious.
