ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove is on Kickstarter right now. TJ&E was literally my favorite video game of all time when I was a kid. I played that game like every day it seemed. I played it so much my parents wouldn't buy me the sequel for fear I would then play it so much that I’d never leave the house. :-/

in other news, tomb raider is turning out to be pretty epic even in the first 15 mins.

Anyone like the game Civilization? If so, the complete pack is available for download on Amazon for $17 (normally $85) right now.

If I had a computer, I would be all over that Civilization offer. It is probably a good thing that I don't. I tend to be a little OCD when it comes to games like that. I'd never finish. I only have the XBox version (Revolutions) and am obsessed with reaching all four victory conditions with all 16 civilizations on all 5 difficulty levels. After this weekend I have everything finished except the Deity level. I don't know if I'll ever finish that. It took me forever to get through the level before it. Thankfully my OCD is not very strong and I might not even start the last difficulty and just be happy with what I've done and move on to another game. And I only play a couple hours a week (maybe four at the most, normally about 2) no matter what the game so trying the final difficulty could take me years.

I already have Civ 5. Haven't played it in a good while though. Next week a game called City Skylines is being released. It's a city builder game ala Sim Cities, but it's not ruined by EA so chances are it will be good. Anyway the media embargo was lifted today so there were some people twitching it. I watched for maybe a half hour and it looks pretty good. Pretty game, a lot of classic Sim City elements but some concepts are taken further. I'm pretty sure I'm getting it when it comes out. I've got another two weeks maybe before farming season gets crazy busy so it will be a nice end of the off season game.

I saw a bit on City Skylines today and I think I really want it. The only problem, I'll have to buy a computer to play it. I don't know if I can bring myself to spend the money on a computer just for one game though.

My computer just barely meets the requirements so hopefully it will run ok on it.

Final Fantasy XIV just unveiled the Gold Saucer (complete with the same music) in an update last week. It's pretty fun. Triple Triad is back as well. I always sucked at that until I got the super overpowered cards. I haven't gotten any better with time.
