Dropped 16 games in 12 days. So on September 6, we should be at 13. I'm gonna say we clinch on or before Sept. 16

What a pitiful showing by them last night. Their fans should be disgusted if they aren't already by now.
Today's Trib has a blurb on Milton Bradley stating that he "faces hatred on a daily basis."
"It's hard to be comfortable when you don't get a hit and get booed every time," he said. "When I go home and look in the mirror, I like what I see. My family is there I have people I can talk to who are very supportive, in spite of everything and all the adversity and the hatred you face on a daily basis. But I'll be alright. I always have."
Good grief. What a mess up there.

They have truly become a laughing stock these past couple weeks while facing upper echelon teams. Z goes down b/c he is 'lazy' in his own words. Then gets into a media tit for tat with Carol Slezak. Then Bradley comes out with this. All the while, Hendry takes the blame for the Cubs on field sucktitude and Lou says they aren't built for the stadium they are in.
During all that, they post like a 4-10 record or something like that falling from contention to oblivion.

Last night-they stuck a fork in themselves, and twisted it around some. I thought for sure they'd at least make the race entertaining. Now instead of angst-filled depressed Cub fans, they all become angst-filled hopeful Bear fans.
and Not built for Wrigley? they are still 12 above at home.

Seriously, what does "not being built for Wrigley" mean? You can't hit enough long popups that get carried out by the breeze? Your outfielders can't take the taunts and boos of your own drunken fans?
(actually, Lou may be right on that one)
