Less than 4 mil per season...been hurt a lot/has held him back. But has looked very good this year. I've never been the biggest fan, but I see this as a pretty damn good deal.

It's maybe a year longer than I would like, but he's finally healthy and has played well.

It also makes Lehtera's deal continue to look worse.

Bergy deal is probably about right. Time will tell.

I think/hope they know they need to move Shatty. Even as a rental, a 1st and a good prospect, not the next Tarasenko, but a legit scoring line projected player is reasonable to expect for the top rental out there, will probably go down on deadline day. Someone will cough up a 1st, a good prospect and a lower level roster player, or maybe another mid level pick, 3rd or 4th.

Martin Hanzal just got traded for a 1st and at least one 2nd with another conditional 2. Zero reason we shouldn't get a good return for Shatty.

Wouldn't it be fitting if he went to the Caps and he and Oshie won a cup? Adding to the long list of Blues players to get their cup elsewhere? Fugh.

Lots of interesting prospects between these two teams. It's probably optimistic to hope for Vrana, Sprong, or Guentzler for a rental Shatty.

I'm just honestly glad he's not going to New York after all the fan talk about how he'll go there for free as a UFA. Some combination of Vrana, Bowey, Barber, and 1st/2nd rounders would do it for me. Bowey doesn't fill a need for the Blues at all so he would likely be flipped since he's not bumping Petro or Parayko.
