Re: The Video Game Thread
that was a great arcade game. they rebooted it a few years back but i dont know anything else about it.
back to fallout...
im already over a day played. so many missions to sidetrack me. and i've done some base building/crafting but at the same time i've barely touched that aspect of the game. part of me wants to check fallout wikia so i dont miss some awesome item, or a bobblehead or whatever but i don't as i want to experience it first hand. im at level 21 or 22, fairly powerful i think, good assortment of items and skills. how i love the mysterious stranger, going to max that one out when i can. i like how there are legendary items now and legendary bosses, etc. i've romanced piper. i might be able to romance this synth detective. i also have the super mutant companion and i put a legendary axe i found (grognaks axe?) on him and he is a tank with that. i just love getting lost in this world.
oh, and i love some of the responses you can give, particularly the sarcastic ones.

I'm 8 hours into Fallout 4. I wasn't going to get it but everyone was saying how good it was so I bought it at like 3am Friday and then proceeded not to sleep until well after dawn. It's a lot of fun. I've been doing a ton of settlement building and such. It's cool you can level up that way too and not just by going out and fighting. One thing that sucks is that I lost Dogmeat and apparently that's a thing that's been happening to people.
Anyway, I'm putting it away until the weekend because last night I stayed up too late playing it.

Didn't know about that. Probably a good idea to scrap all but one. I moved one from a backyard and placed it next to the house with all the crafting equipment.Jocephus wrote:re: dogmeat. you might check sanctuary. in the back yards of homes there are dog houses and he usually shows up in those...i think.
Very hard to get that dog to stay put, or else I'm just doing it wrong. Constantly Leeroy Jenkinsing me.

he might also be at red rocket, where you initially found him
hard to not like having a dog but i'm going with (i was going to say humans, but i guess i'll say creatures that can talk) so i can earn their perks.
also, regarding dogmeat:
Dogmeat can wear select articles of clothing, such as bandanas, welding goggles, collars, muzzles, and dog armor.
If a teddy bear is put into his inventory, Dogmeat will play with it for a few seconds upon exiting the Inventory menu and randomly thereafter.

Lots of good tech deals this week and the next trying to jump in ahead of Black Friday and the week of deals after.
Secrets: I don't really like Fallout 4. Honestly I'd have more fun re-installing 2 again. Next gen games will just never be my thing.
