I'm getting a lot more serious about buying an XB1 now. The microsoft store has been running some sweet deals here and there where you can get a 1TB bundle for 349 plus one or two games extra for free. I almost pulled the trigger yesterday but I thought I'd ask for some opinions on games.

For the bundle I'm looking at either the Rise of the Tomb Raider one or the holiday one with GOW:Ultimate and Rare Replay. Any opinion on those?

Also, for the additional games I'm looking at the new Call of Duty, Star Wars Battlefront, Halo 5 and Just Cause 3. The online reviews for these seem all over the map.

i bought the $350 1 TB gow/rare replay package. i bought that one mainly for rare replay, as i wanted those games that i grew up with. also, i think (IIRC) that if you play the GoW game online before the end of the year you get access to GoW, GoW2, GoW3 and GoW judgement (via codes) (though you may double check the specifics). i'm very pleased with it. GoW is a fun, mindless shooter but rare replay was the kicker for me. the new tomb raider seems cool too so it'll really just depend on which game(s) you prefer. also, remember if you go with xbox gold you'll get free games each month too so you can build up your library pretty quickly (though i think you said you are a casual gamer so maybe that's not too important). i'm rambling but the $350 1TB plus game(s) seems like a solid deal. i think Ghost said he got one of the 500gb combo packages.
