The Padres are also called the Friars, they are named after the Franciscans (Order of Friars Minor), whose main color is brown (they usually wear white ropes as belts). I don’t know where the other colors come from.

Obsidian (Navy): Used as the primary jersey color, reminiscent of the club's 1998 uniforms.
Marigold: Prominently used on the sleeve trim and pants braids, representing the flower crucial to Día de los Muertos celebrations, symbolizing joy and the beauty of life.
Fireberry, Aqua, and Gold: Combined to form the "San Diego" wordmark, representing the sunset, the Pacific Ocean, and the region's vibrant, lively atmosphere.
Bone (Off-White): Used for the pants to create contrast against the dark jersey.
La Catrina Patch: A sleeve patch features the Día de los Muertos figure in colorful attire to honor Hispanic and Mexican American culture

Walker needs to teach Scott how to hit the ball on the ground.

In Sonny Gray’s two seasons as a Cardinal, he pitched over 200 strikeouts. Now with the Red Sox, he isn’t striking out many batters at all. Father Time?

He did just come off the IL; I would wait and see where he is later in the season. He might not be able to do the finish he would like to on some of his pitches; especially considering how max effort he is with his delivery when he is on.
