I cannot fathom how someone could be an advocate of Duncan -- at least over Molina.

Molina had (coming into the game) a cumulative batting average of .325.

Duncan was at .167.

No, not at all. A big hit against Aaron Heilman in a tie game does not mean that I want that hitter batting with two runs down in the ninth inning. Granted, I don't think Wilson should have been up there either.

It's not one freakin' hit against Heilman, it's a .325 average in the postseason.

.325 is tied with Albert for the team lead.

It's not about who's the better hitter (Duncan clearly is), it's about who's hot.

I wasn't completely against Molina hitting there but Dunc is left handed against Jones and he's been a lot better over the long haul than Molina.

Hot streaks are a very unreliable way to identify who has the best chance of getting a hit. Going with the better hitter is far more likely to result in a good outcome than hoping someone stays hot.

That said, if Tony sees something he likes -- "he's not hot, he's changed his stance and it is working, he is more the hitter we expected him to be" -- then so be it.

Kyle, it IS about who is the better hitter. I don't care about Molina's so-called "hot streak." He is 2-for-8 in the World Series so far compared to 1-for-4 with Duncan.

Duncan gives you the better chance every time.
