Re: Former Cardinals Watch
If Cox can get some higher averages in AAA then definitely should look to package him in a trade. I don't think he'll amount to much as a major leaguer but even if he did his position is blocked with Freese going to be there for a while.

Or the career. Dude's 37 years old and hitting .174. But when he was great, he was great.heyzeus wrote:Rumor is Rolen may be done for the season.

I think it started with Hee Sop Choi (don't remember the cintron incident though)

Post-trade:
Rolen 13.2 WAR
Glaus 5.5 WAR
For what we paid Glaus for 2 years v. what we would have paid Rolen for 3 years:
Rolen $3.03M/WAR
Glaus $6.39M/WAR
Apologies are in order.

As if Rolen would have hit .397 with 5 homers and 21 rbis in the 2011 playoffs.

As if Rolen would have re-signed for 2011 with TLR in town.

Re: Former Cardinals Watch
Well, we managed to survive without Scott Rolen in 2011 and win a World Series and whatnot, so that worked out in the end.
