Refs suck as a general rule but the 4th quarter was egregious even for NBA refs.

Two phantom calls on Durant where 0 contact was made, and 2 clean strips called fouls on Cleveland in the final minutes.

LeBron is kind of unfathomable. Just too big and strong and smart and good. Incredible.

I bet Space Jam 2 will be better than Thunderstruck as well.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say these Cavs wouldn't win 55 games without him.

Durant should have dropped the ball off to Draymond on the one foul instead of forcing the action. And Durant made a clean strip on LBJ that got called a foul.
Unfortunately busy at work so didn’t get to see most of it.

I'm in too deep. This goes all the way back to Bill Laimbeer in 1990. I'm in this until I die or they move the Blazers (and the Blazers make me want either or both of those things often enough).

I am, however, going to try and pull out of the KD to GSW spiral I always lead these threads into. I'm getting tired of me, too.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say these Cavs wouldn't win 55 games without him.

I'll go further out and say they don't win 32 without him.

It's not even remotely the same thing. No MLB team has ever been as much of a lock to win a championship as Golden State was, and no single baseball player impacts a team as much as they do in basketball.

We're talking about the Golden State team that needed 7 games and a Chris Paul injury to survive the West Conference Finals, and who needed OT at home to beat a one-man show who might have beat the Dubs if their ding-dong of a SG was conscious of the score, right?

The NBA has always been epochal. Players inform teams, inform styles, inform eras. I don't think you can truly love the NBA through just your team. You have to find other things to love for when your team sucks or, even worse, is pretty good but not great. I watch so many more NBA games where I don't have a team-specific rooting interest than any other sport. The way specific players define generations is compelling to me. I get it if that doesn't appeal to people who want parity or only care about their hometown team, but like Luke said, if that's your deal, you probably should give up until your team drafts their LeBron.
