I seriously hoped he was not going to ask Ryan to bunt before I saw Miles heading up there.st.lewis11 wrote:Arguing over whether he can bunt?......well the pinch-bunt was successful, and looked how well the ensuing situation for us worked out....and a player was burned for it....along with an out.
He's succeeded 9 times, and I saw him pop up two bunts in a row last week. That wasn't the first time either this season. It also says something to me that Tony didn't leave him in to do the bunting.InvincibleCakeEater wrote:How much of that is rooted in fact, and how much of it is perception?Faceman wrote:If he leads in bunts it is because he sucks at hitting. Says about as much to me as he said when he had Ryan pinch hit instead of Ludwick last year to avoid the double play.ghostrunner wrote: He's succeeded 9 times, and I saw him pop up two bunts in a row last week. When it comes to pressure situations, Ryan cannot be trusted. I feel LaRussa feels the same way about him as well.ghostrunner wrote:He's succeeded 9 times, and I saw him pop up two bunts in a row last week. That wasn't the first time either this season.
