Isn't Penn Jillette either a right winger or a libertarian or somethin'?

How about Curt Schilling? There are a lot of right wing athletes. Probably mostly because they like the tax cuts.

Pat Sajak! Dude is very conservative. And he can spin the big wheel whenever he wants. That's power.

Yeah - nothing is more annoying than the athletes going political. Actually, what is worse is sports commentators going political...Oblermann etc. Or worse -they go political during their sports show. I've heard the ESPN radio guys spewing right-wing manifestos all the time.

The world series with the stem cell ads was a shame.
And frankly, the political commercials during football cause me to dislike the candidate that airs them. If we want to get aggravated about politics- we can just read this thread, right? the sports airwaves should be off-limits.

Jack Buck was very conservative, Mike Shannon an old school Democrat. Wonder if they ever talked politics?

I did not know this. By "old school Democrat", do you mean "Dixiecrat"?

That reminds me--the right has Jeff Suppan in their corner.

BW inspired me to make my first donation to the Barack Obama campaign today.

The Democratic party thanks you, BW. :D

I feel much better now. You had me worried for a second.
