They have already forgone animal testing and administered a test vaccine

Yep I read yesterday that they already injected some people with the vaccine and skipped animal testing altogether. They still need to make sure the vaccine doesn't kill people. If they just distribute the vaccine without verifying that it also doesn't have some kind of death rate, the cure could be worse than the disease. I am not sure what other steps they could bypass. For example they could maybe ramp up production of it so that if it passes the tests, they would have it ready to distribute immediately. But my understanding is we are still looking at like a year minimum, and maybe more like 14 to 16 months.

I’m seeing the word panic thrown around a lot. For the most part, i don’t see it.

Well the internet is always panicking. Always. Media loves to panic when they can get people to bite down on it. The markets are definitely panicking.

Most people are being rational in my experience/environment. Except for that old lady I had to punch, because obviously I need 6000 rolls of toilet paper. She wasn't being rational. Majestic-12 Bot is also clearly panicking.

Not to get into China fear-mongering, but how much do we trust China’s official numbers and reports? They just kicked out a bunch of our media. Just imagining how much I’d trust Trump’s numbers if he had the same control China’s government has. South Korea has been declining but I don’t know if they’re still locked down.

There was a slight uptick in South Korea's numbers the other day, but don't know how to read that.

The conflict between the Chinese Communist Party and the Trump administration is simply a means for both governments to use xenophobia to get people to forget how both governments screwed the pooch on this.
