Nuclear reactors use massive amounts of water, which I'd guess could limit where they can be located and could be bad for ecosystems. I don't know the answer to the original question that Snayke posed.

Freshwater supply will be an issue in future years (down the road moreso for the US). I'm not sure if they can use salt water or at least treated salt water in the nuclear process.

Just remember what happened the last time we tried that.
At that time, Canada was still a direct providence of Great Britain, the worlds only real superpower, and the United States was barely able to even defend its own territory. I do believe some things have changed in the past two hundred years.
