My distaste for that show sort of prevents me from it, but that's absolutely the kind of thing I'm looking for. Great tune.

This song came to mind while reading your post. Doesn't really tell the story of a murder, but I always felt the implication was that he was going to kill her for doing a "bad, bad thing".

There are a boatload of old country/folk murder ballads. I think they came over from England.
I can't believe Uncle Tupelo's Lilli Schull isn't available on youtube.

Sorry, JL. I haven't watched the series so didn't know this was on True Blood until I looked for a video.
