I was thinking this exactly last night.cardsfantx wrote: ↑March 25 26, 10:17 amI love a hard checked/heavy game, but Washington always pisses me off cause they're borderline (and a lot of times over the line) dirty...when you have a guy like Wilson wearing an 'A'; it basically tells everyone it's ok to act like an assGeddyWrox wrote: ↑March 25 26, 8:26 amMan, Washington was really gooning it out there last night. Especially the guy that body slammed Thomas just for a half-hearted interference play. He was given a 5 minute major and a game misconduct, which is exactly what should have happened, but dang was that a dangerous play.
They were also taking runs at Snuggerud a lot, too. But luckily he seemed to escape relatively unharmed. So glad we shut them out. Fvck those guys in particular.
and I know...everyone says well if he was on your team, you'd love him....no, no I wouldn't

As much as I was salivating at a potential top 5 pick, I just can’t be unhappy that they are winning and that the kids are stepping up. It’s fun to watch and it’s good that they can find ways to win.

If we don't end up with a top-5 pick, as much as I would like for us to draft a top defenseman, there may also be an opportunity to leverage our 3 first round picks to draft both of the Ruck twins - which could give us our version of the Sedin twins.
Both play for Medicine Hat in the WHL. Liam Ruck is a RW - 45 goals, 104 points in 68 GP. Markus Ruck is a C - 21 goals, 108 points in 68 GP. WHL is always a high scoring league for NHL caliber prospects, but that's still really good production.

It’s baseball season when the Cardinals have more wins than the Blues.

9-0-1 since the TDL. Maybe the kids were ready. We’ll see how sustainable it is (or isn’t).
Schenn with 7p in 11g in Long Island. Faulk with 3p in 10 games on the free falling Wings. (Who would be 5th in the West but are like 10th in the East atm)

On the last broadcast, Joey V said they look like they could hang with anyone in a 7 game series right now.

They are currently 4 points out of the last playoff spot with 10 games left. Lots of teams to jostle with, but everyone but the Preds and Jets have been scuffling. Including Vegas, who is currently +7 on the Blues but with 2 more games played. And Nashville has actually cooled (lost 3 straight) since being hot prior.
It seems crazy, but if the Blues can close at 8-2-0 or better, they would finish with 89 points. Which may just be enough for that final wild card in the West.

Nevermind. They needed to win that one last night, or at least take it to OT. Good game to keep fighting back to tie, but that last minute goal was a dagger.

Thought we were done losing last minute games once Faulk was traded
