Don't they factor in how fast they expect a prospect to make it to the majors? That might be a reason that Doyle gets an edge. But IDK, just reporting the news.
Oh I wasn't attacking you. Or at least wasn't trying to. In real life you'd see facial cues and voice inflections and know I was kidding. Message boards aren't as good with that, obviously.
Both are excellent prospects. Maybe even 60's, which are elite, elite prospects.
I was not feeling attacked. Just pointing out that I am not sure what all was going into the decision.

I tried to watch all four MiLB starters last night -- Doyle, Franklin, Crossland and Mathews.
I was getting worried about Doyle but I was incredibly impressed. The fastball was overpowering. He threw a lot of breaking balls; the sweeper or slower curve was the best of the breaking stuff.
Mathews had zilch. Very disappointing.
Crossland had a no-hitter -- in 4 IP. BUT...he gave up 6 BBs (and 6 Ks).
Franklin was good, not great. Bad camera angle so it was hard to tell.
Thank goodness for split screen.

wow; was already the youngest player in A ball at 19 (and will be 19 all year), and now headed to AA
at 19....just wow
I'm not saying he's Soto...but he's following that same path so far
good for him (and hopefully us lol)

That's interesting. Campos has been having a really good season there so far and leads the team in all the hitting stats.
Rodriguez is still the bigger deal, but I'd assume there's another move coming higher up. Especially with Crooks doing so well. Though I can't see them calling Crooks up without moving Pages. They're not going to have Crooks come up and be the new Pozo.
Or could be a trade, I suppose.

Is this official? I was looking to see what the cards were saying, and all I could find was a bunch of stories linked to a spanish post from a twitter account for Wilber Sanchez.

Looks like it's being reported several places.
- i guess they might just move the other catcher (Tarlow) down and split catcher and DH between Rodriguez and Campos.
Have to imagine one of these catchers gets traded before too long
