Help me understand why we took out Libby at only 71 pitches and all the innings the bullpen has had to throw?

The manager is stupid? Pitcher has no mental strength?

That is true. Counter point is he had a shutout and the Cardinals needed another inning out of their starter at this point in my view.

Perhaps with the break coming up they thought it best to get him out on a high note, which I could understand. I sure hope maximizing for the win is their first thought, of course.

Fair point and I expected him to go back out for the 7th; but I have seen him blow games really fast so it didn't bug me too much. In a perfect world he goes 7 or 8 with the type of game he had thrown thus far. He did give up some hard contact that last couple innings though so the Cards might have thought they were playing with fire.
