That's the thing about public speaking, some are born with it and some can acquire it. She isn't born with it and hasn't had enough time to acquire it. I can't blame them at this point for possibly hiding her from many interview opportunities as well as troopergate.

we can't blame them for hiding her but we sure can blame them for picking someone incompetent for the job.
Sooner or later the voting public has to realize this.

Don't overestimate, there are plenty willing to vote for her and McCain b/c of her gender (you could say the same thing about Obama and race as well, but then have to factor it vice versa).

I'll kind of go along with the sentiment -- I don't expect someone to be able to handle all this at once. But whoever said that it's the GOP's fault for picking her is right.
Has anyone else realized that the media -- and Couric in this instance -- is in a no-win situation? If she doesn't grill Palin, the left would come at her with pitchforks. She grilled her and I can only imagine that the right is going to use this as some sort of outcry of sexism.

RIP John McCain's Presidential Campaign -- 2007-2008.
Campaign is officially in meltdown mode. The Palin-Couric interview bombed -- big time. 10% believe the debates should be suspended. Campaign manager Rick Davis was nailed for being in bed with Fannie and Freddie. Letterman absolutely mauled McCain.
And to top it all off, they accidentally leaked the "Suspended Campaign" talking points.

Graham says the McCain camp is well aware of the position of the Obama campaign and the debate commission that the debate should go on as planned — but both he and another senior McCain adviser insist the Republican nominee will not go to the debate Friday if there's no deal on the bailout.
