I'm wondering if it's worth $75 (or more) to see Joe Bonamassa in concert. I'm leaning towards Yes.ThatGuy wrote:I'm debating if it's worth $150 to see Ray LaMontagne in concert.

Wolfmother went back to their original sound (I thought Cosmic Egg was overproduced), or rather, have progressed by regressing back to a punk rock production value for their new album. You can stream it here: http://wolfmother.bandcamp.com/album/new-crown, so far, I think it's strong.

It is. I have seen him about 6 times since 2007. The first was at "The Finale" jazz club. Awesome little venue. The new Cloud Nothings album is out today! Me and at least 15 other people are quite excited.

I knew someone on here, probably you, would be one of the other 15! The important thing is that we found each other.TimeForGuinness wrote:I'm one of those 15heyzeus wrote:The new Cloud Nothings album is out today! Me and at least 15 other people are quite excited.
I've listened to 7 of the 8 tracks so far, and unfortunately it doesn't hold up in comparison to Attack on Memory. They seem to have gotten rid of the jagged highs and lows, the pop meeting discordant noise, and replaced it with a steady and pounding punk. So the songs don't seem too differentiated to me on first listen, compared to their last (amazing) album. I don't know, I need to give it a few spins.

Like, a week ago, the new Swans album leaked (through the label's site, no less); basically, somebody [expletive] up and what were supposed to be sample clips were hosted as full-fledged songs. Downside is it's crappy quality (96 kbps) but even at that bitrate, holy [expletive], this is gonna be a fantastic album.

Going to see Arcade Fire tonight.
I've heard it's quite the spectacle.
I read the RFT review of the show at Chafeiz the other day and they were more or less lukewarm on the whole thing. Didn't hate it, but they had their criticisms.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to it and no, I am not adhering the the "dress code" so i wonder how that will pan out.
