I don't know that he managed them to a victory, but he managed the Cards out of being able to come back.

Keith Law tweets On tomorrow's podcast, Eric and I won't analyze the game. We'll just read the play-by-play with a laugh track

Pretty much no timely hitting on our side tonight, even in the ample chances they did have to swing away.

I am upset he had Rep pitch to Napoli. That to me....and knowing LaRussa with the % crap was my biggest pet peeve of the night

La Russa's biggest flaw is, and always will be, his insistence on getting overly-involved in a game. I've said this so many times, but it's like sometimes he does stuff just for the sake of doing something.

Despite the supposed excuse of the crowd being too loud to change pitchers, I'm convinced Tony wanted Rep out there. He supposedly said before the game, "don't be surprised if he faces righties (probably because he had struck three of them out previously) and there was another lefty on deck after Napoli.

Way, way, way too many things to complain about to be able to pick one or two reasons why we blew this game.

I'm still pissed about the 3 bunts. I know the pros and cons on the use of sac bunt is like the dems vs republicans or some sort of middle east feud that will never be agreed upon.

Live by the dogma , die by the dogma. But 0 for 3 tonight with a bullet. 0 for the series. extra dumb with pitchers struggling with control and in general. perhaps the %s favor TLR on it, I don't know. if TLR manages long enough and sticks to dogma, maybe the %s not in favor will even out.

The percentages don't favor the bunt. That's the ultimate irony.
