I'm one of those 15
I knew someone on here, probably you, would be one of the other 15! The important thing is that we found each other.
I've listened to 7 of the 8 tracks so far, and unfortunately it doesn't hold up in comparison to Attack on Memory. They seem to have gotten rid of the jagged highs and lows, the pop meeting discordant noise, and replaced it with a steady and pounding punk. So the songs don't seem too differentiated to me on first listen, compared to their last (amazing) album. I don't know, I need to give it a few spins.
Agreed...I still need to give a complete listen, but from the tracks I've heard, I've been happy but not impressed(?)
but like this type of stuff happens all the time around here--musicians will randomly come into bars and hop on with the house band or completely take over a stage, unannounced.
I saw Lucinda Williams out eating dinner. Banged a chick in a car in front of the Judds. Accidentally insulted George Jones at my bar. Got smashed in a booth at Country Mack's Diner by Randall Tex Cobb. Did not luck into seeing a semi private REM show.
