Agreed. People with huge ego's generally like to be coaxed in the media, make time for appearances, get advertising deals for Taco Bell, etc.

Look at what Tony does in his spare time. He runs a charity for cats and dogs for Christ Sakes. What person who loves cats has a huge ego? More often than not they're slaves to furry creatures that sits on their lap. The only time TLR ever really gets egotistical is when someone strongly and vehemently disagrees with him. See Rolen, Scott.

It's not ego. He doesn't know when to get out of the way and like greenback said he seems to have lost a step thinking wise. Last night was inexcusable. I can't believe what I am reading this morning. Never have I heard stuff like this.

I am not that upset actually. The guys didn't hit when they needed a hit. That, more than any Tony decision cost the Cards the game. If you can't see that, in my opinion, you are letting your hatred for TLR cloud your judgement. Did TLR [expletive] up last night, hell yea he did, but the players did not make the plays they are paid to make.
The Craig bunt put men on 2nd and 3rd with less than 1 out, I would take any day with Albert and Matt coming up. If Craig grounds in to a DP, I bet there would have been a ton of second guessers there blasting Tony for not bunting.

Would you stop it already? I'm as fatigued by the negativity as anyone, but there have been legit gripes with Tony for years and particularly last night. If you want to make an argument in his favor, then take the time and do it. This passive-aggressive curt dismissal thing is tiresome no matter who does it.
