i don't have any inkling on college football coaching hiring/firing machinations but this is interesting from this thread.

do people not want to coach there? is the chancellor now a jerk or is the AD nuts?

long and short of it that the AD is in complete disarray and the university is being held hostage by the haslam family. the same family that runs the cleveland browns and are currently under federal investigation for rebate fraud via their Pilot gas stations.

They've brought in a couple puppets (AD John Currie who was on the verge of being fired from K-State and Chancellor Beverly "Airhead" Davenport who recently tagged THE WRONG UNIVERSITY SHE HELPS RUN in a recent tweet and left it there for hours!!)

Bill Belichick tried his damndest to get the Browns to hire Schiano. It caused a rift that led to Jimmy Haslam firing Joe Banner. Again, Belichick goes to bat for Schiano, this time roping in Bill Haslam and what go birds has illustrated is an incompetent administration. Moral of the story: stop relying on Belichick recommendations.
