Five of the eight relievers haven't pitched in a week, Wainwright is going Wednesday, followed by an off day. If they get any more saved they may rust out.

Yep. You have to manage overuse and rust. Managing a bullpen is really the most complicated thing a manager does, and somehow has much as LaRussa can muck up the simplest things with his crazy double switches he's a master with the pen. Problem with the pen is you can't just say you are going to use so-and-so Tues and Thurs because you just don't know the situations.
