Mike, I want to thank you for your posts in this thread. The BBC pics in particular are spectacular. And the bug shots are phenomenal.

Took these last week. Hard to take a bad photo of this if you have a phone or camera that will do it. The longer exposure for more recent iPhone cameras makes a huge difference. My son has an older phone and his pics weren't nearly this good.

The green is much paler, almost white, but the shapes and the streaks are there. The pink is also not as strong, but the color is much easier to see. It shifted and changed the whole time we were there. I'd get caught up looking or taking pictures of one part, and turn around to see the other half of the sky had changed completely.

We drove about 20 minutes outside of town because we missed out trying to see it from home in May, and that helped a lot. Moon was out, so that affected it a bit, but still really impressive. We got back home and couldn't see it at all.
