Regarding that bowl, it appears that a couple of Texas players are considering sitting out that game in preparation for leaving for leaving for the NFL draft. One being their OT Williams as well as Malik Jefferson (co-defensive player of the year in the conference). That can't be bad for Mizzou.MrCrowesGarden wrote:Seems like Texas Bowl vs the Longhorns for Mizzou.

Clemson v UGA in Atlanta would be absolutely sizzling.
Which means it'll be Bama v OU

Re: 2017 College Football Thread
Pretty interesting games. I think OU is favored by a point and Bama is favored by 2. Should be exciting. Bama and Clemson face each other for the third year in a row in the CFP. Winner of that game, I'd think, would be favored by more than 2 points regardless of whom the opponent is in the Championship game.
Georgia/OU will come down to rather or not Georgia's defense can contain Mayfield and the OU offense. No way Georgia wins a shootout, but they'll have a pretty decent shot if they can hold OU to less than 30ish points. Don't think GA is going to have problems moving the ball, but they're not going to put up 40+ points either....I don't think. In the end, I would imagine they'll control the ball enough to keep OU's offense off the field and win something like 28-24. But, if Georgia gets behind early and has to play catch up, relying on their passing which will result in some short 3 and out drives, and OU gets on a roll, it could get ugly. I think Smart is smart enough to not let that happen and will control the game though.
I think Clemson wins a dog fight against Bama pulling away in the 4th quarter, something like 38-28. Then goes on to dismantle Georgia in the championship.

Apparently Arkansas offered Malzahn 7 years / 50 M. Wants to know by the end of the day what he's going to do. If he stays at Auburn (and gets a raise), they'll hire Norvell. I'd imagine it's all wrapped up one way or another by mid-week, probably sooner.

I don't think Bama can score 28 on Clemson and I don't think Clemson can score 38 on Bama if their LBs are healthy.AWvsCBsteeeerike3 wrote:

I didn't see the game, but Georgia holding Auburn to 7 points is pretty damn impressive.
