Reds had Matt Davidson test positive. Moustakas went on the IL with symptoms, and Senzel was scratched today for "not feeling well."

Wonder how many guys one team has to lose to COVID before they start forfeiting games. 2020 baseball, catch the fever!

I’ll go out on a limb and say there are enough people in any given system combined with that natural immunity and earned immunity that no team will forfeit. But I’ve been wrong befor.

I've been foresaging doom and gloom for months now, and it's been working out pretty well for me. I mean, as far as "i told you so" rights go. In reality, it's working out quite poorly overall!

I laughed at this dark humor.

Here's the latest on the slow crumbling of the 2020 MLB season:

Eight Marlins Players, Two Coaches Test Positive For COVID-19; Tonight’s Game Canceled

The Marlins had four players test positive for COVID-19 over the weekend, and ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports this morning that an additional eight players and two coaches have since tested positive (Twitter link). Tonight’s scheduled home opener against the Orioles has been canceled, tweets Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. ESPN’s Jesse Rogers tweets that not all of the new cases are asymptomatic.

The Marlins remain in Philadelphia and won’t be traveling back to Miami as had been previously scheduled, per Sportsgrid’s Craig Mish (Twitter links). In the span of one weekend, the Marlins have now seen a dozen players and two coaches test positive. More troubling, perhaps, is that Mish emphasizes that Marlins players and coaching staff have been adhering to the league’s health and safety protocols.

Marlins exec: "Hey you minor leaguers who just missed the cut to make the 30-man roster, you're finally getting your call-up to the big leagues!"

Minor leaguers: "Woo-hoo!!" "All right!!" "Congrats, everyone!"

Marlins exec: "It's because our clubhouse is infected."

Minor leaguers: "Uhhh.... we'll call you back." (click)
