cards to sign 16 yer old Emanuel Luna from the Dominican for 2.3 million

"He possesses an inhuman power; at just 16 years old, he easily connects for 110 mph hits. He's projected to become a 30-30 player"
Believe it or not, they signed this kid back in January.

For instance, they've already signed one of the top players in 2027 in Cristian Lias.

I like the strategy to move towards more top end talent and away from saving money hoping to buy late prospects (they really like to buy Cuban prospects, but Won Bin Cho was acquired this way as well). That said, Rainel Rodriguez was a cheap sign as was Yairo Padilla.

Feels weird to have a GM who didn’t just keep John King because it would be easy

Add Dayn Perry of CBS Sports to the list of reporters pulling trade proposals for Arenado out of their butts. I’m not even going to post a link and waste your time reading the article.

Agreed for both.

I'm also interested to see when he brings up Wetherholt, Matthews, and Crooks or if he allows them to make the team in ST.

Bloom can be conservative financially but takes some fun low risk gambles. I'm just ready for some moves. Trade whatever veterans you're going to trade and start adding to the team. If they make only one signing this offseason again, I'll riot.

Seems redundant unless they're getting calls on Pages

I imagine if Pozo can't get a major league deal anywhere they will offer him a MiLB deal with a spring training invite - which will give him a chance to make the team if an injury comes up.

cards are in fact resigning Pozo (talk of a minor league deal)

Bernal, Crooks, Pages, already here (or soon) and Herrera trying out C again
